Paneer Tikka Recipe: In Oven, Air Fryer, and Stovetop

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for brushing

Instructions:

Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the paneer, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the paneer in the marinade.
  3. Thread the paneer onto skewers.
  4. Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the paneer with oil.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the paneer is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve immediately with chutney or naan bread.

Air Fryer:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the paneer, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the paneer in the marinade.
  3. Thread the paneer onto skewers.
  4. Place the skewers in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the paneer is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve immediately with chutney or naan bread.

Stovetop:

  1. Heat a grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Brush the grill pan with oil.
  3. Place the skewers on the grill pan.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the paneer is golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve immediately with chutney or naan bread.

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful paneer tikka, marinate the paneer overnight.
  • If you don't have a grill pan, you can cook the paneer tikka on a regular frying pan.
  • Serve the paneer tikka with your favorite chutney, such as mint chutney or tamarind chutney.
  • Paneer tikka can also be served with naan bread, rice, or vegetables.
